Larry Rothman has operated as an attorney in California since 1976, practicing mostly in the area of Business and Real Estate Litigation with respect to planned unit developments and collection. Larry Rothman is licensed in all Courts of the State of California and Federal District Court -South, Central, North and Eastern, as well as the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court, the United States Claims Court in Washington D.C. (for contractual litigation against the United States Government Agencies (i.e. V.A. HUD, etc.), and the United States Supreme Court, Southern Federal District Court of Texas, and is a licensed Solicitor admitted to the Roll in England and Wales. In 1994 and 1996, Larry Rothman co-authored a book, "How to Get Results in Collection of Delinquent Debts in California", published by NBI, Inc. and has given numerous classes for attorneys in the area of business litigation and collection. In February 2005, he gave a lecture on Advanced Collection Procedures to the College of Lawyers Continuing Education Program for the Condominium Association Institute. The latest lecture for the Continuing Legal Education for the California State Bar was on December 17, 2013 with the name being Collection Law Debtors and Assets. Larry Rothman has been appointed as a Judge Pro Tem for small claims courts located in Fullerton, Long Beach, and Westminster since 1985, and a Pro Tem Judge for arbitrations and mandatory settlement conferences for the Orange County Superior Court. He has instructed various classes in income tax at Coast Community College between 1976 and 1983. He also was a Professor of Law teaching classes in Commercial Law as well as Corporation Law at American College of Law between 1978 and 1981. He has participated in over 300 civil jury trials and over 60 civil appeals, and over 2000 business and real estate actions. He is a member of the, Orange County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Long Beach Bar Association, California State Bar Section on Real Property, American Bar Association, Community Associations Institute, Inn of the Court – William P. Gray Legion, and Commercial Law League. During the time that collection agencies and qualified managers of collection agencies were licensed in California, he passed the collection agency and qualified manager exam and was licensed as a collection agency and qualified manager of a collection agency in California. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a government tax auditor and audit supervisor. He received his AB degree from UCLA and attended American College of Law. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and Realtor as well as a California Licensed Private Investigator who can locate assets for clients who need to collect on judgments. He has a lifetime College Teaching Credential for business law and taxation. He has been a Moot Court Trial Judge for the University of California at Irvine for the past several years. He is a member of the International Multiple Listing Service and Newport Beach Board of Realtors.
